School to train future managers in the outdoor sports industry.

The Rhone-Alpes region, in the heart of the French Alps, is world renowned for organizing international sporting events such as stages of the Tour de France, the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc or the Red Bull Elements... The region also hosts more than 60% of Europe’s competitive ski and snowboard events (downhill, cross-country, freeski, ski-mountaineering…) as well as many other competitions for a variety of sports such as track and field, mountain biking, golf...

Beyond sporting events themselves, the region is a major European hub for the outdoor sports industry. Approximately 200 outdoor sports companies are located in the Rhône-Alpes region, representing more than 450 brands and 25,000 employees, in other words 50% of both the direct and the indirect outdoor sports industry jobs in France.

It goes without saying that the future of the outdoor sports industry is located in the Rhône-Alpes and surrounding region, where the European headquarters of the largest and most successful international companies of the outdoor industry are located: Salomon, Mavic, Patagonia, Petzl, Vuarnet, Columbia, adidas Outdoor, Orage, Fusalp, Eider, Millet, Burton, Arva, Scott Sports, Icebreaker, TSL Outdoor… these companies as well as others fully support the OSV (Outdoor Sports Valley) Education Programs.

With the goal of training future managers, technicians and sales representatives in the outdoor sports industry, OSV developed all three curricula in close partnership with the EMLYON Business School, the Université de Savoie in Annecy (both IAE Savoie Mont-Blanc Institute of Management and the IUT Technical School) and CNPC.
